Frequently Asked Questions
Are all progressive lenses the same?
No. There are many types of progressives on the market with varying designs and technology even from a single manufacturer.
At Queen Spectacle we pride ourselves on keeping up to date with the latest technologies and features of the lenses from most of the major manufacturers on the market. This way, we can help guide you to a perfectly tailored lens for optimal visual satisfaction.
What type of lens coatings do you offer?
Many of the lens coatings we offer will consist of UV protection, scratch-resistant coating, anti-glare coating, and harmful blue light protection.
UV protection will eliminate the harmful UV rays that are emitted from the sun. Scratch-resistant coating will help shield the lenses from surface scratches to uphold its integrity. Anti-glare coating will reduce reflections which will give the lenses optimal clarity. Harmful blue light protection will lessen fatigue and eyestrain from sunlight and the light that is emitted from digital screens.
Aren't all frames from just one huge manufacturer that controls everything?
Actually no. Not at Queen Spectacle. There is one huge manufacturer, that does own a lot of the brands you’re familiar with.
At Queen Spectacle, we deal with the leaders and innovators in technology and DESIGN. Most of the collections we work with are strictly eyewear manufacturers. They have creative teams that collaborate with different colours and materials, and they set the bar for the upcoming season. This is what we love about them and why we prefer working with their creative geniuses.
Are eye exams covered by OHIP?
